Birth records for Lula Williams born 1916 black in Bennettsville SC to Lula Williams born 1894, Died 1950 in Bennettsville SC, and john Williams born 1890 in Bennettsville South Carolina, Now to trace John Williams you might need to search For his parent Stacy and Cornelia Williams who was born 1855 during the time of slavery, so if you find the slaveowner to my great grand parents i would thank you so much. There was a slaves owners in the town of Marlboro County 1850- 1860 from the slave schedule but so many williams slave owners I couldnt get to see the Slaves they owned to see if any of my ancestor was one of them please help me thank you so much wanda.

Stacy and Cornelia have been married for 11 years.
Even at 150% that last name looks like “Ebendego”.
The 1850 and 1860 slave scedules do not give the names of the slaves, just their age, sex and whether black or mulatto. That is why African-Americans often dead-end at people alive in 1870, the first year the census listed black people by name.
People in the 1800′s are usually married by the age of 18 – 22, so I suspect this is a second amrriage for both, but I don’t see any step-children.
I can’t find Stacy, Cornelia, Eben or Crinna in 1910.
