Question by : Are there any reliable for pay records search sites? Will be looking for births, deaths and locations of family?
Please reply ONLY if you have had SUCCESSFUL experiences with the sites that you are recommending.
Tried a lot of online searching and found a bunch of seedy sounding sites which mostly referred me to the SAME for pay sites which I presume are equally seedy after reading reviews(mostly negative) of their sites and services(incorrect/insufficient information supplied) and am leery of the $ (9.95 one time look up/$ 19.99 yearly specials).
I am prepared to pay a reasonable amount for the supplied services since many of the records could go back a bit.
NOTE:I AM NOT DOING A FAMILY TREE SEARCH and am not interested it tracing my family back to pre biblical times so please do not respond with suggestions directing me to these sites!
I know that I come across as being overly picky-it is just that I would like to do a productive search and not waste any more of my time surfing for a reputable site service provider.
Thanks for responding-Tony Z III (me) ;-}
To clarify what I am looking for:
1 The date of my fathers death
2 The date of my mothers death
3 The locations of any of my still living relatives

I am NOT looking to do a genealogy search!
Is it too much to ask that all answers be from users that have successfully used the service that they are referring and had successful and accurate results.

I hope that I have finally made it clear as to what I am looking for!!!!!
If all you are hoping to do is rate a measly few points to up your Yahoo level with any extraneous answer then please do not reply!

Best answer:

Answer by Mumsey
You might get a better response if you were not so negative.
We use findmypast.com and have no complaints at all but we do live in the UK so no doubt you will find fault with that.
Happy Christmas

The only information I have is from the 1930 census. Her name was Helen Ware, maiden name Helen Tomco, married to Willie Ware. Had a son Louis Ware. She was born in Penn. Died in Michigan, Wayne county at Eloise Hospital which is now closed. She lived in Detroit, Mi. from 1920 to the time she went to the hospital. I’ve tried getting a death certificate from the Wayne county clerk but you have to have the exact date of death. I don’t know her social security no. and can’t find anything on Ancester.com. other than her on the 1930 census. I would like to have the death certificate so I could find out where she is buried. Would very much appreciate any help.

Question by : How do you find the people who died in any given year?
Some people in my family died this year and I was wondering how do you go about search for public death record? Also, do they tell you where they are buried? I do not know the last names of some because they may have changed since I last spoke to them. Is there a way to do a mass search in certain states. I am not in the state they died in however.

Best answer:

Answer by wendy c
This is the social security death index. It is only an index to names, dates, and places for death, which is limited information. It is normally up to date in a few months following a death. That means, if they died last month, it PROBABLY will not show up for a while. Does not mean they did not die.
Yes, you CAN use the advanced search boxes.. you can force it to list all Jones who died in 1993 in Los Angeles. Or in Dallas county in June 2003.
Here is what it will NOT DO.. it won’t help if you don’t have a name of some kind. Yes, it can do a first name search. You still need a time frame and some location (if only the state).
If it brings up 50 persons named Jenny in a certain county.. it is still up to YOU to look at the dates, and figure out if this can be your relative.
Next.. this does not say where they are buried, what they died of, or anything else. You still have to pursue that information. If you have a name and date, you MIGHT check the town for the name of the newspaper, and search for an obituary. This works best in a small town. A death certificate lists the cause of death.. but if you are not immediately related, you normally cannot get that. The obituary can show surviving relatives and maybe place of burial. It should show the name of the mortuary.
Nothing is guaranteed. Your main thing is to break down the process, and look at many things, not expecting it all to be in one location. Some persons don’t even have obits, so that would stop there. You won’t know without looking.

Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958 — June 25, 2009) was an American recording artist, entertainer, and philanthropist. Referred to as the King of Pop, Jackson is recognized as the most successful entertainer of all time by Guinness World Records. His contribution to music, dance and fashion, along with a much-publicized personal life, made him a global figure in popular culture for over four decades. The eighth child of the Jackson family, Jackson debuted on the professional music scene along with his brothers as a member of The Jackson 5 in the in the mid-1960s, and began his solo career in 1971. In the early 1980s, Jackson became a dominant figure in popular music. The music videos for his songs including “Beat It”, “Billie Jean” and “Thriller”, were credited with transforming the medium into an art form and a promotional tool, and the popularity of these videos helped to bring the relatively new television channel MTV to fame. Videos such as “Black or White” and “Scream” made him a staple on MTV in the 1990s. Through stage performances and music videos, Jackson popularized a number of dance techniques, such as the robot and the moonwalk. His distinctive musical sound and vocal style have influenced numerous hip hop, pop, contemporary R&B and rock artists. Jackson’s 1982 album Thriller is the best-selling album of all time.
