still searching. born in eau claire, wi. aug. 1901, died in san diego, escondido, ca. feb. 1982. married and divorced to esther wiragos, who was born in chippewa falls, wi. july 13, 1904. had son richard, eau claire, wi. who died 2001. any sliver of information, please let me know.

If you can find him there it will have his exact death date.

If you get his exact death date you can send a small check, a SASE and a request to the library in Escondido, asking them to look up his obit in the microfilm.

The GenForum and Ancestry pages for the county do not look promising; many requests, few replies.

This is the closest Edward Chappell on the CDI.
He is b. 1902 here and on the SSDI.

“RI” might be a mis-transcription of “WI”. Birth years being off by one happens in 20% of the people I find. “Moulton / Willis” is something I can’t explain.
